Effective Planned Maintenance is Back-bone of Ship Management

PMS is always the best tool for keeping any equipment or machinery running efficiently. We all know following a system is more challenging than building it. Another reason for a non working PMS is the system inefficiency itself. No doubt, a right system can be easy to follow and save you a great deal of money and time. There are many different maintenance strategies. Applying flexible maintenance strategy helps you get more efficiency in the maintenance of fleet.
According to a study recently published claimed that an effective PMS can save up to USD 60,000 per annum per vessel for the ship manager.
Unfortunately, PMS management is ignored onboard and ashore by managers assuming updating the system always remains a challenge onboard for the frequently changing ship officers.

However, Planned Maintenance System is a tool that keeps track on the maintenance schedule of machineries, equipment critical for safety of life at sea, environmental protection and various port state compliances.
