Sinotech Marine offers a detailed condition assessment service for all categories of Oil and Chemical Tankers. A condition assessment of an Oil or Chemical tanker is relatively challenging due to complex engineering systems onboard such types of vessels.
The shorter port stays and longer preparation time required for enclosed space entry make the inspection of Ballast tanks and Cargo tanks difficult during condition assessment. Thus, before attending a tanker vessel for condition assessment, inspection planning is crucial. Our operation team coordinates the inspection with the vessel agent and representatives, so the inspector gets safe access to the maximum areas of the ship.
Our inspectors come from strong tanker backgrounds while regularly trained on the latest industry standards of safe tanker operations and forthcoming compliance requirements.
Apart from photographs of the vessel, Sinotech Marine has developed a comprehensive assessment scheme that analyses a tanker ship against over 500 data-points.
Our reporting is divided into two parts:
- Preliminary Inspection Report
- An interim assessment of the ship condition, mainly prepared in case of early bid offers for secondhand purchase of the ship. It contains the vessel’s particulars, inspection summary, preliminary assessment questionnaires, up-gradation matrix, and a surveyor summary.
- Final Assessment Report
- Consists of the vessel’s grading and projection of the cost of up-gradation for the next 3 years.
